Immer wieder einmal kommt diese erzählte Geschichte hoch.
Mein Vater , vom Jahrgang 1909, trat kurz nach seiner Promotion in die damalige Wehrmacht ein. Als Standortarzt war er in Bruchsal tätig, als der Weltkrieg ausbrach. Soweit ich weiß, war er zunächst im Westen , in Belgien. Da er auch nach dem Krieg dorthin Kontakte hatte, liefen diese Einsätze vermutlich noch sehr gesittet ab. Später dann waren seine Einsatzgebiete Polen und Rußland. Mein Vater selbst erzählte nichts vom Krieg und von these times. My father studied medicine at various universities, as was then customary. The first semester (1929) he lived as a PG with Jacob Schmid. That was the caretaker of the university. This caretaker discovered on 18 February 1943, the leaflets of the White Rose. The young man in the unity of my father's name was Scholl. According to my Wikipedia knowledge, it was Werner Scholl, who later, in 1944, was reported missing in Russia. The brother of Sophie and Hans Scholl, who were both sentenced at the time immediately following its action of Freisler to death and were immediately executed.
