Only my mother told me, that he was eight kilometers from Moscow, extreme spearhead.

was in his unit, a medical student, about whom he should write an evaluation. That was an order from home. My father created this assessment, which was positive. The background he did not know.

until after the war was the context, and above all, a very peculiar personal connection between people and processes.

My father studied medicine at various universities, as was then customary. The first semester (1929) he lived as a PG with Jacob Schmid. That was the caretaker of the university. This caretaker discovered on 18 February 1943, the leaflets of the White Rose. The young man in the unity of my father's name was Scholl. According to my Wikipedia knowledge, it was Werner Scholl, who later, in 1944, was reported missing in Russia. The brother of Sophie and Hans Scholl, who were both sentenced at the time immediately following its action of Freisler to death and were immediately executed.
